![]() Co-op also makes grinding more manageable compared to solo runs.Īlien Swarm might just be Valve's most forgotten game, although the 2010 release is by no means bad. Four friends can have an absolute blast playing through most of the game's content together, an endeavor that should keep them busy for a couple of months. ![]() As such, it is very easy to get through these operations without having to interact with other people.Įven though the above is common when teaming up with strangers, Warframe is still supportive of multiplayer and online co-op. Once someone is of a high enough level, they will steamroll through most encounters, to the point there is not much incentive to engage in teamwork. Most missions can be taken on as part of a squad, and many people tend to just do their own thing rather than coordinate as a unit. Warframe can be treated as a single-player experience for the most part, and this sort of extends to the multiplayer component as well. Despite hitting a few speedbumps along the way since not every change or update was for the better, Digital Extremes deserves praise for what it has achieved over the last decade. The puzzle-solving gameplay is further enriched with the addition of a co-op split-screen campaign.Celebrating its 10-year anniversary in March 2023, Warframe has expanded a great deal over its lifespan, a process that saw an exciting but limited third-person shooter grow into one of the most ambitious and best free-to-play games on the market. Portal 2 checks all the ticks that a proper sequel should, and then some. Now that we got the racers out of the way let’s give some well-deserved love to this timeless classic. All in all, it’s as old school and arcadey as a racing game can get, and I mean it in the best of ways. This mode was loads of fun to play, and it never fails to entertain. Communication is key here: if you turn left, and the other player turns right, the car will keep going straight. I still occasionally invite a couple of friends over for an all-night session of Trackmania, simply to re-establish my dominance on the track.Īnother brilliant feature is the Double Driver mode, in which two players take control of a single car. But like with basically every racing game ever, split-screen is where it’s at. The singleplayer mode provides lots of fun that combined with a well-made track creator theoretically never has to end. The gameplay is the epitome of arcade racing and very reminiscent of crazy fast racers from the early to mid-2000s, which I feel are seriously missing nowadays. In Trackmania, you blaze through crazy tracks filled with jumps, boosts, loops, half-pipes and many other types of obstacles. If you’ve ever longed for a proper incarnation of your wildest Hot Wheels fantasies, then you’re in luck. Trackmania doesn’t get the love it deserves, in my opinion, and we’re here to set the record straight. There’s plenty of content for you and your friends to provide you with hours of fun, so have at it. Over the years, Psyonix added a bunch of new modes through updates, so you can now play different modes based on other sports (basketball, ice hockey, etc.). I’ve spent hours playing split-screen versus my friends, and I cannot recommend it enough. Although it took me a few matches to get the hang of the controls and the somewhat floaty physics engine, the payoff was immensely satisfying. ![]() Certain points on the field will provide you with a speed boost, which is fast enough to destroy the opponent’s car temporarily should he cross your path.
